NEET UG Exam is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) body formed by ministry of HRD, Govt of India. Neet UG is a pen and paper based exam with objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry and Botany & Zoology. Syllabus is based on class 11 and 12. Neet UG is conducted for 180 minutes (3hrs) comprising 180 questions. There is a change in the pattern of questions compared to last year there is around 200 questions instead of 180 and comprises of 50 questions each in Physics, Chemistry, Zoology and Botany with 4 marks per question and max marks of 720. Every student has to attempt only 45 questions per subject and +4 marks to be awarded for correct answer and -1 mark deducted for wrong answer.
Indian origin students who have pursued MBBS program outside India has to first pass in FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination) conducted by NBE (National Board Examination) before appearing to NEET PG.
Just by appearing in NEET PG student will not get an entry into MD/MS program, after the NEET results one has to appear for various counselings to secure a seat.
State counseling conducted by counseling body under the individual state government Individual state govt conducts counseling to remaining seats in Govt medical colleges of that states and also for 100% seats in self financed private colleges who are affiliated to state govt universities.
